Welcome to the 1st Midsomer Norton Scout Group Web Site
Our Aim:
To help the young people of Midsomer Norton and district achieve their full
physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible
citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
We are a busy Scout Group located in the town of Midsomer Norton near Bath. We are part of the biggest youth organisation in the world, with 28 Million members. In the UK alone there are 500,000 adult and youth members, in 24,000 Colonies, Packs, Troops, Units and Networks. We meet in a purpose built Headquarters on Radstock Road. We currently have over 130 young people involved in either our Beaver Colony, one of three Cub Packs or three Scout Troops. We also provide a home base for the SAXONS Explorer Unit.
We run a fully co-educational programme of Training, Camps, Sailing, Canoeing and other Adventurous Activities some of which are shown on this web site. We also have or own Campsite near Wellow. We currently have a waiting list in most sections, but if you want to come along one evening and see what we do, contact our Group Scout Leader Ralph Jefferis
